Architectury not available?

Wurst version: 7.46.6
Minecraft version: 1.21.1

Steps to reproduce:
1. install Wurst and Fabric
2. launch game
3. crash

Im playing minecraft on a Neoforge server. i have installed Forgified, and Sinytra Connector, Fabric, as well as Wurst Client. I am getting the following error:

The game crashed whilst initializing game
Error: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Mod 'architectury' is not available

Things I've tried:

Removing Wurst and launching minecraft (works fine)
Tried different versions of Wurst (eg. 7.46.1) as well as respective Fabric API
Installing Connector Extras
Drinking coffee

Needless to say nothing has worked yet, please help.

Hey nooneknowswon,

The crash report file points to the mod architectury-13.0.8-neoforge.jar. It's hard to say for sure with so many mods installed, but this crash appears to be unrelated to Wurst.

Looking at the mod list, I notice you have both the regular Fabric API and the Forgified Fabric API installed. Generally, you should only install Forgified Fabric API when using Sinytra Connector.

As for Connector Extras, this should only be needed if you have Fabric mods that need the Architectury API. Since Wurst doesn't use Architectury and you don't seem to have any other Fabric mods installed, it seems like you should see better compatibility without Connector Extras installed.

Here are some things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

Remove regular Fabric API and see if anything changes.
Remove Connector Extras and see if anything changes.
Remove Wurst (so only Sinytra Connector and Forgified Fabric API are left) to confirm that this modpack is really compatible with Sinytra Connector.

I have tried removing the regular fabric api first and running Forgified with Wurst, unfortunately I get the same error.

I fell like I've tried everything lol I tried new versions of wurst and forgified. I tried to make sure the wurst client was compatible with the version of forgified. I think it is just arcitectury and wurst is incompatible. I will do a test with forgified, connector, achitectury, and wurst and see what happens.

okay so I got past the original error. I'm using an older version of Wurst (7.46.1). now im getting an error once the terrain starts loading when I join a world.

This is the error message:

The game crashed whilst unexpected error
Error: org.spongepowered.asm.mixin.transformer.throwables.MixinTransformerError: An unexpected critical error was encountered

mod list is stil the same but I removed connector extras and of course the older Wurst client.

Sidenote: I did the test that I mentioned in my last comment and architecury has no conflict with Wurst when they are the only ones in the folder together.

nooneknowswon This second error message happened due to a known incompatibility between that older version of Wurst and newer versions of Sodium. This is because Sodium 0.6.1 introduced some major breaking changes that affected many other mods at the time.

Downgrading Sodium to 0.6.0 or removing it entirely should get rid of that error. (Normally, updating Wurst to 7.46.4 or later would also fix it.) Note that the "Sodium Extra" mod you have installed might also have compatibility issues with some versions of Sodium, so you might need to downgrade or remove that too.

unfortunately wurst 7.46.4 requires a fabric API higher than 0.107.0 which is as high as forgified goes. I tried to remove sodium and had some issues. I'll just keep messing with it and when I find a suitable solution I will post it here and mark it best solution lol

Totally forgot to post it.

Minecraft version: 1.21.1

Forgified/Fabric version: 0.107.0

Wurst version: 7.46.0

So as alexander said the best fix that I have found is to downgrade sodium and to use an older version of Wurst.

Forgified is not updated enough to work with the newer versions of Wurst so until they update past 0.110.0 we are stuck with Wurst V.7.46

I am using the ATM10 (All the Mods 10) Mod pack, just in case people are looking for this fix specifically with that pack. hope this helps someone. 🙂
