Hey Majikplayz,
When you take an item out of the Creative Mode inventory, you are actually just creating a brand new item out of nowhere. That giant block palette you see in the UI doesn't actually exist in the game logic, instead Creative Mode lets you spawn in any item, in much the same way as the /give command. This is what makes these hacks, as well as the .give command, possible.
