I tried everything after getting stuck on a alt is it direct alt if so how do i delete it ive been an the alt all day and does the alt disappear after a while?

Hey Mikukasa1,

There seem to be some pretty big misunderstandings here about how alts work. Let's clear up a few things first:

Alts are just Minecraft accounts. It is completely normal to be "stuck" on a Minecraft account while playing Minecraft, as the game wouldn't work without one. You always need to have a name, skin, etc. That's why it's not possible to "log out", or make your login "disappear", or "delete" it, at least not while in-game.
There is no such thing as a direct alt. The "direct login" button simply means that the username and password won't be saved in your alt list. This does not change anything about the alt itself. You can think of it like an incognito tab in Chrome: it won't be saved in your history, but the internet you're browsing is still the same.
Here are the two different types of alts that exist in AltManager:
- premium alts: These are your typical Minecraft accounts that you bought from Minecraft.net. They work on all Minecraft servers.
- cracked alts: These are essentially just a name you have in offline mode. They only work on offline-mode servers (a.k.a. cracked servers) and in singleplayer mode.
Deleting an alt from your alt list does not log you out. As I've said above, it would be impossible to log out in-game. Only the Minecraft launcher can log you out, and then you won't be able to launch the game until you log back in.

I hope this clears up the confusion. Now with that in mind, what you probably want to do is actually switch to your main alt, rather than logging out.

There are two ways how you can do this:

Simply restart the game, which will put you back on the alt that that's provided by your launcher.
Add your main alt to AltManager and log in, which does the same thing with the added convenience of not needing to restart the game.

Mikukasa1 have you closed minecraft and gone back in? thats what i usually do when i want to get off an alt. Edit: nevermind, i seen that you did try that. uninstall wurst, load into your game, make sure you are on your main acc, and then turn off minecraft, reinstall wurst, should be fixed

Alexander01998 i tried to ad my main acount to the alt and it does apper but no auth and I cant log into severs what i do almost everyday but idk what to do also i tried to restart the game and it did log in but i couldnt get into severs even when i went on a diff version

Mikukasa1 If you're still having problems joining servers after restarting the game or launching a different Minecraft instance, that would indicate a problem with your launcher. Wurst's AltManager is only active within the Minecraft instance where you are using it. It can't modify your session across restarts or across different Minecraft instances.

Let's try to troubleshoot this further: What launcher are you using? What error message do you see when trying to join servers? Which username do you see on your character in singleplayer worlds?

Regarding not being able to login with your main account in AltManager, this could be caused by many different things.

It's possible that you might have misspelled your email or password in AltManager. (Obvious, I know, but it happens.)
If your account has TOTP 2-factor authentication enabled, then it's not going to work because AltManager doesn't have support for that.
Microsoft might have flagged your login as suspicious. This is quite common if you either haven't logged in in a while or you are using a VPN. The easiest way to fix this is to just log in in your browser (https://login.live.com/).
- It might ask you to confirm an email code or complete a captcha, and then after that it will no longer block your login when using AltManager.
- Once you're logged in, check the recent logins section in the security tab. If your login was flagged as suspicious (usually caused by VPNs), it will have a blue "this was me" button next to it. Check that the IP and location are as expected, then press the button to confirm it was you.
- After doing these steps, you can log out of the account in the browser if you want.
Sometimes the servers are just down. Check what it says in the log file when you try to login.

Yes, Microsoft accounts can be set up with third-party email providers like Gmail. That's fine and normal. It won't cause any problems with Wurst.

LilSkittle Reinstalling Wurst is unlikely to make any difference in the case of problems with AltManager, as the .jar file itself is stateless. In cases where AltManager won't open because of corrupted files, deleting the files where Wurst's alt list and encryption keys are stored could help. But that would also delete all alts, so a lot of caution and backups are needed when doing something like that. I wouldn't recommend it in this case, because there are no signs of a corrupted alt list here.
