For example a mod called "what are they up to " can see the wurst options button in the game menu. Is there a way to hide it?

Pylo I'm not sure, but according to the Modrinth page for What Are They Up To, the mod has settings where you can choose what is and isn't sent to other players. One of those settings should allow you to hide the game menu.

Also, of course, there is GhostWurst which is designed to not show anything on your screen. More intended for screen recoding, but should work with that mod too.
