Alts not working

When I try to use an alt, it always says something like restart your game and launcher when I try to join servers. Any way to fix?

That "restart your game and launcher" message usually pops up when you're trying to use a cracked alt on a non-cracked Minecraft server.

It's important to remember that cracked alts aren't real Minecraft accounts, they're basically just a username that you can use on a cracked server (a.k.a. an offline-mode server), where you don't need a genuine Minecraft account to play.

To join a regular online-mode servers, you'll need to use a real Minecraft account instead. This is typically referred to as a premium alt on the Wurst Wiki, for example on this page.

LilSkittle If you create an alt without setting a password, it will be saved as a cracked alt. AltManager also shows a "cracked" or "premium" label under the name of each alt.

To tell whether or not a server is cracked, the most reliable method would be to try to join it with a cracked alt and see if it works. Another thing to look for would be if you join a server and it tells you to set a password using a /register or /login command. Almost all servers that have a command like this are cracked.
