I've seen a few posts here about AutoLibrarian not working, but I have yet to see a true fix for it. I remember it worked perfectly fine when it was first introduced, so I don't know what the problem is. I am on the latest version of Wurst, 7.44, but I can never change what books I want the villager to give me. Honestly, this hack is so nice because I don't have to waste my time breaking lecterns, and I just wish it would work again.
