The 26.4-snapshot-1 builds of all four mods are releasing now. Details below about the new mod list payload.
Important privacy/safety note
26.4-snapshot-1 adds a minecraft:mod_list payload, intended to send your mod list to any Minecraft servers you join, which for obvious reasons could create a privacy/ban risk for client-side mod users.
As of Fabric API 0.161.1+26.4, the game still sends an empty mod list exactly as it would in vanilla, so you are safe for now. However, future Fabric API updates could change this.
The Fabric team is currently discussing if/how they are going to use this new mod list system, and unfortunately a lot of anti-privacy activists are present in those discussions trying to have it implemented in the worst possible way.
If implemented poorly, this system could put you at risk of getting banned from servers, just because you updated Fabric API. I've advised against updating Fabric API due to bugs or crashes before, but a risk of getting banned is unprecedented.
Because of the high risk, I have marked the 26.4-snapshot-1 builds of Wurst, WI Zoom, and WI Freecam as incompatible with any other Fabric API version than 0.161.1+26.4. They will simply crash if used with newer versions.
I've also added a test that prevents future snapshot ports of these mods from being published if they appear in any minecraft:mod_list packets.
Once it's clear how Fabric's mod list system is going to work and any necessary opt-out mechanisms are in place, these mods will go back to specifying only a minimum Fabric API version and letting you update Fabric API whenever you want.
Mo Glass remains unchanged, since it has to be installed on the server anyway.
