Especially the mod list and versions are important to know here because this smells like a mod compatibility issue, with some other mod you have installed doing something to the pause menu that conflicts with the Wurst Options button.
If the issue was as simple as "Wurst Options button doesn't work" then I would have known about that before the Wurst version you're using even released. I have tests for this kind of thing. I also just press Escape every now and then. Don't assume it's that simple.
