Are you sure you are using Wurst 7.48.1 in Minecraft 1.20.1? Because in that version AimAssist should be the same as in 1.21.5.
In older versions of Wurst (commonly used in 1.20.1) AimAssist had a massive design flaw that made it so anti-cheat plugins were able to detect it. I've heard people describe this flawed version of AimAssist as "feeling better" than the new, safe version.
While I understand you may prefer the feel of the old version, you should be aware that using it on PVP servers is very risky. Servers are able to detect that AimAssist and might automatically ban you for using it.
